“When you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you.” -The Lord

scandal of grace

I have been feeling a burden in my heart for the past few weeks. The Lord keeps pressing my heart about the condition of our church, and by our church I include myself. I feel a grief and a desperation as I write this, but I also feel a crazy excitement and passion for God’s kingdom to come down from heaven and invade this world! I have been crying all morning just worshipping Him and allowing myself to soak in what He is speaking to my heart. Before I share, I want to say something first, I pray you hear my heart. When the Lord speaks to us, even when it is so hard to hear because it confronts us and challenges us, it is in such a loving way. He guides us out of the darkness and reveals to us His perfect plan for our lives where there is light. When He speaks, even when it confronts us, it releases us from confusion and brings freedom. His message always brings clarity, purpose, and hope! I pray the Holy Spirit would reveal to your heart what I am about to share and I pray you would be sensitive to His guidance. Allow Him to speak to you.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.” Jeremiah 29:11-14

To the church:

The Lord is calling us to sanctification, to a higher level of commitment, to be set apart– He wants us to allow Him to sit at The Throne. The Lord is calling us to humble ourselves and acknowledge our need for Him. He wants us to turn away from our sin– everything that has taken His place– He has to be our only God! God wants to guide His church, but there is no room for pride or idols in His church. He is calling His church to be ambassadors of His word, but we have to be filled with a supernatural love for His people and also for the lost, the kind of love we have to fight for daily. We cannot represent Him if we are filled with selfish ambition, pride, and hate. We have to be willing to surrender ourselves, our selfish desires, our personal agendas, the way Jesus sacrificed Himself for the church, to take up His agenda. We can’t have two agendas, it is that simple. We can’t work diligently to accomplish “our” dreams and be focused on His calling for our lives. We have to choose. It’s all or nothing, we cannot serve two gods. God is calling us to be a generation who is sold out for Him! A generation that calls out to Him, in desperation, for Him to sit on The Throne and be The One true God! The ONLY God! A generation that is so hungry for Him that is willing to not be seen, willing to not be heard, willing to not achieve, and willing to not dream selfish dreams, but a generation that lives to exalt His name. A generation that is okay with suffering for him because we know this is temporary and He is our reward. A generation that knows who He Is and is okay with being belittled, mistreated, looked down upon and persecuted, yet still be a beacon of love. A generation that is willing to get back to the basics, where we pray all day, without anyone knowing, because we long to be in His presence– because His presence is all we need, not human approval. A generation that is so radical for Him that is willing to worship in front of all– worship Him with pure and sincere hearts and bring down His presence for all to see and be transformed! A generation that reads His word with a humble spirit– acknowledging our flaws and being so aware of how much we need Him to reveal His truth to us— not relying on our own understanding or someone else to interpret for us. A generation that knows He is as legit as it gets and everything else is just second best or a counterfeit. A generation that knows Him enough to call each other out, in love, in order to walk righteously, grow to maturity and be the light this world needs. A generation that is bold for Him! Humble and meek yet bold and courageous! A generation that has experienced His love and grace, has been transformed by His spirit and is full of anointing! A generation that isn’t worried or afraid of human rules– It doesn’t matter what is possible, we know He does the impossible! A generation that is so in love and on fire for Him that the lost want to know who this God is! A generation that is willing to love his enemy and tell them about the love and transforming power of the One true King! A generation who is not easily distracted by evil desires but stands firm and fights for purity and righteousness! A generation willing to stand in the gap for the lost and is ready to go to the frontlines to fight the demonic powers that oppress His people. A generation that understands the power of the cross and the authority Jesus has so undeservingly given us to fight this spiritual battle! To take back what has been stolen– to call out restoration for marriages, unity for families, healing to the sick, wholeness to the broken, fullness to the addict, for men to rise up and lead, and for women to understand their divine calling and stop allowing the lies of the enemy to continue to bind them! A generation that understands that everything and everyone bows to the sound of His voice– and He is the One you serve! AMEN!

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2: 10-11

Will you trust Him? Will you accept Him, all of Him, and believe that He wants to give you hope and a future? Will you seek Him will all your heart and call on Him, your Savior? He is calling you, He is ready to give you all He has for you, to use you, but you have to position yourself so He can show you your purpose, just say the word. Will you be sold out and radical for Him? Will you surrender it all to truly know Him? I pray you answer to the calling, in Jesus’ name.

“Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.”  Joshua‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭NIV

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Romans‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Will you pray with me and cry out to the Father?

Father God, will you heal our land? Will you heal our hearts, Lord? Faher God I offer myself to you Lord, humbly and surrendered. Will  you do amazing things amongst us? Transform us Lord with  your love and grace and make us a holy and pleasing sacrifice to you, our God. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

Love in Christ,

Linda
